Position Overview

As a Collaborating Physician, you will play a pivotal role collaborating with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to manage patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Evaluation: Oversee wound care assessments and treatment plans conducted by nurse practitioners and physician assistants to promote optimal healing and care.
Patient Care Plans: Review, endorse, and provide guidance on patient care plans to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards for effective wound management.
Telehealth Consultations: Conduct telehealth consultations as needed, offering expert advice on wound care strategies and treatments.
Collaboration and Best Practices: Participate in case discussions and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in wound care management.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with the care team regarding patient status, treatment progress, and any necessary adjustments to care plans.

Qualifications:

Licensure: Must hold an active MD license in Alabama.
Experience: Previous experience in Geriatrics, Primary Care, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of chronic wounds and the regulatory framework governing collaborating physicians.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
