    Position Summary:


    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful intake, screening, scoping, and tracking of planned and emerging enterprise projects to drive strategy implementation, promote business agility, and optimize return.

    Manages high-stakes projects from planning to delivery.

    Collaborates with executives, leaders, and project managers to facilitate the development of plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies that align with Bozeman Health's overall goals and objectives and support organizational success.

    Provides project management to critical strategic projects.

    Monitors and reports the progress of the enterprise project portfolio to the Executive Team and other leaders to facilitate strategic prioritization and benefits realization.

    Supports and coaches operational leaders serving as project managers and work to increase project management competencies across Bozeman Health.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, project management, healthcare management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • 3-5 years experience in the execution of key strategic and operational initiatives, preferably in healthcare.
    • Preferred:
    Experience driving major change efforts through a health system and within a multidisciplinary team.


    • Preferred:
    Project management certification.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Manages high-stakes projects from planning to delivery Provide leadership for the successful completion and results of key assigned strategic projects.
    • Evaluate project requests and facilitate additional analyses as needed to support effective prioritization and resource allocation across Bozeman Health.
    • Serve as liaison to other project managers to ensure alignment, collaboration, and stewardship of Bozeman Health resources.
    • Provide comprehensive reports on the progress of the enterprise project portfolio to the Executive Team and the organization as a whole.
    • Work with project requestors to clarify objectives, scope, benefits, and deliverables and to determine timeframe, resource requirements, and allotment of available resources to complete various phases of the project.
    • Regularly communicate with key stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership, to provide updates on the status of key strategic and operational projects.
    • Provide leadership for the successful completion and results of key assigned strategic projects.
    • Develop, maintain, and provide training on project and change management tools to support leaders across Bozeman Health.
    • Confer with project participants to provide technical advice and support problem resolution.
    • Serve as liaison to project managers to ensure alignment, collaboration, and stewardship of Bozeman Health Resources.
    • Provide direct and indirect oversight of other project managers to lead a standardized and integrated approach to project management.

    • Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed.
    Physical Requirements

    • Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling:
    Lift 30 pounds of weight (pick up supplies, move equipment, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies.

    • Extended Hours:

    The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.


    • Flexible Schedule:
    The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts

    • On-Call Availability:
    On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs

    • Effective Communication:
    Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies

    • Handling Challenging Situations:
    The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients, families, or employees

    • Repetitive Tasks:
    Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities

    Job tasks may involve exposure to:

    • Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
    • Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed
    • Various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
    • Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses
