    Job Responsibilities and Requirements

    This role is focused on the absence quoting and renewal processing for a portfolio of clients with 5000 lives and over. The candidate will actively participate in large case roundtable discussions with account management and Large Case Committee (LCC) meetings involving sales, senior management, and other internal stakeholders. The role will also play a crucial part in the analysis of underwriting and absence management data using business intelligence tools. Analytical skills will be pivotal in providing valuable insights to support decision-making, while efficiently handling quoting and renewal activities.

    Absence Quoting Management
    • Handle absence quoting requests from internal stakeholders promptly and accurately for quotes of 5000 lives and over.
    • Interpret absence policies and regulations to provide precise information on quotes and coverage options.
    • Collaborate with sales, underwriting and customer support teams to ensure consistent and compliant quoting practices.
    • Maintain records of quoting activities and contribute to improving the quoting process.
    Absence Renewal Processing
    • Manage the absence renewal process for existing clients, ensuring timely and accurate renewals for quotes of 5000 lives and over.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and address any renewal-related inquiries.
    • Collaborate with the finance, pricing, and underwriting teams to review and adjust pricing for renewals as needed.
    • Prepare renewal packages and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.
    Business Intelligence Analysis
    • Utilize business intelligence tools and techniques to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
    • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for key performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Continuously monitor data quality and recommend enhancements to data collection processes.
    Data Visualization and Reporting
    • Create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations that communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations on absence quoting and renewal metrics and performance.
    Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, pricing, and absence management.
    • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in business intelligence analysis, quoting, and renewals.
    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, data science, or a related field.
    • Five to seven years previous relevant underwriting experience required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
    • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations providing clear and concise insights based on data analysis.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing business needs.
    • Basic understanding of absence management practices, quoting processes, and absence renewals is advantageous but not mandatory.
    Ability to Travel: Up to 10%

    Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
