    The Director Organizational Development and Engagement provides leadership, direction, and planning of JPS Health Network's education and employee engagement programs.

    Serve as the organizational development and engagement resource for the Network.

    Typical Duties:
    Directs the design, strategy development and implementation of JPS Health Network's organizational development programs.
    Assesses organization's workforce effectiveness and provides recommendations to bridge performance gaps.
    Develops appropriate organization development interventions to strengthen organizational and departmental culture, improving employee engagement and retention.
    Oversees change management initiatives to manage planned and unplanned changes and recommends enhancements to current programs.
    Reviews key performance indicators and metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of the workforce performance.
    Integrates succession planning, talent pathways, and performance management processes and tools into day to day operations.

    Manages strategic relationships with academic institutions, leadership development companies, coaching firms, and other professional organizations focused on executive and leadership development.

    Develops and delivers effective on-boarding strategies, including but not limited to orientation of new team members.

    Partners with leadership to identify training and development needs by analyzing workforce skill capabilities, organizational results, job requirements, operational problems, company initiatives, plans and forecasts.

    Designs and deploys methodologies to evaluate training effectiveness; analyzes and reports results.

    Assesses non-clinical learning needs and collaborates with Nursing Education Director for clinical learning needs for frontline, supervisory, and management employees.

    Develops direct reports by defining roles/responsibilities and expectations, assigning and communicating performance and promoting professional growth and accountability.

    Recruits and retains competent staff utilizing coaching skills that will foster employee development, productivity, growth, satisfaction, loyalty, commitment and team work.

    Prepares department operating budgets on an annual basis and monitors areas of responsibility for compliance within current budget.

    Works in a Professional Coaching role with leaders and employees of the Network while conducting in-depth job and/or task analysis and/or needs assessments to determine training solutions, and/or other performance enhancement solutions.

    Serves as the SME to oversee the creation and facilitation of leadership development curriculum and develops departmental or job specific training programs, as well as overall program and/or learning module objectives.

    Employs classroom, e-learning and other training modalities to enhance training opportunities for Network employees.
    Oversees the LMS and learning technology infrastructure that delivers e-learning to employees.

    Directs the implementation of best practices and analytics to drive strategies for retention, culture change, and other relevant factors impacting team member engagement.

    Oversees the administration of the Rewards and Recognition platform, employee engagement activities, events, platforms, and surveys that lead to increased organizational engagement and effectiveness.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or related field from an accredited college or university.
    7 plus years related experience in training and organizational development.
    5 plus years management experience.


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field from an accredited college or university.
    5 plus years providing training and/or learning services work in a healthcare environment.
    5 plus years large multi-site organization experience.


    Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
    Instructional System Design, desired.
    Certified Facilitator, desired.
    Organization Development Certification, desired.
    Leadership Assessment Certification, desired.
