    Description
    Position SummaryProcess / Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.

    Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, flow of production and; shipping processes, and quality control standards.


    Primary Accountabilities (Essential duties:
    )


    Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout ofWorks with planning and engineering concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficientEstimates production times, and related costs to provide information for Capital or ContinuousResponsible for writing CARs related to Capital Projects for OperationsDirects and coordinates capital budget/spending, Lean and other continuous improvement projects.

    Provides root cause analysis and assists with problem solving for production process issues.
    Provides oversight to personnel involved in design of tools and fixtures.
    Identify, justify and implement new manufacturing technology and replacement machinery.

    Works with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

    Develop and maintain schedules and budgets for assigned projectsOversee the setup of new equipment, ensure satisfactory operation, and instruct others to use the new equipment properlyInvolvement in Lean initiatives up to and including providing oversight to teams and orWork as an operational liaison with supply chain pertaining to outsourcing initiatives for newParticipate in assignments involving acquisitions and divestituresProvide technical support to operations concerning product and manufacturing technologies equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

    Welding EngineeringYears of Experience:
    Previous experience years) as a manufacturing engineer in an industrialmanufacturing environment involving the following equipment/processes: Welding, robotics, industrial electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, coil slitting, presses (mechanical and hydraulic), AC/DC drives, AC power distribution, Machining (CNC & Manual), plasma/oxy fuel cutting and OH cranes
