    Honeywell's ACST team is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for our Chandler, AZ location.

    YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

    • Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
    • Design and optimize automated systems to improve efficiency and quality.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance in automation technologies and best practices.
    • Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers.
    • Support and assist the maintenance and facilities team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures related to control systems.

    US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
    • 5+ years of professional controls engineering experience.
    • 5+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent PLCs in a production environment.
    • 5+ years of experience with plant applications such as MES, BMS, and others.
    • Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting production equipment such as torque controllers, robotics, computer servers, testing equipment, and/or others.
    • Software applications programming experience.
    • Understanding of databases and various program languages (MySQL, Python, etc.).
    • Proven project management experience.
    • Proficient in working with and creating electrical diagrams and prints.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
