    Job Purpose:

    The psychiatrist provides direct patient care and supervises mid-level providers and other clinical staff in the provision of services.

    Work is performed with a high degree of independence and reviewed through observation, peer review, team conferences and EMR monitoring.

    Candidates must have a passion for working with adults and children with serious and persistent mental health conditions and their families.

    Active involvement in treatment planning with all team members to provide comprehensive services based on the individual's level of care needs.

    Document services in a timely, accurate manner consistent with AHP's procedures and standards.
    Provide consultation, supervision, mentoring and training to mid-level providers, residents, students, and other clinical staff as assigned.
    Comply with peer review processes and staffing as required by AHP Policies.

    Participate at a minimum one weekend per month in on sight on call at AHP inpatient units; Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire's insurance company.

    MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
    Completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry and where applicable, completion of an accredited child psychiatry fellowship.
    Board Certified or Board eligible in psychiatry and where applicable child psychiatry.
    Must have a license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
    Must have knowledge of community behavioral health programs, services, and practices.
    Must have the ability to document and review services within an EMR.
