    The National Youth Leadership Council is dedicated to empowering students to become informed and engaged global citizens through quality service-learning experiences. Our national service-learning program aims to cultivate civic engagement, leadership skills, and social responsibility among students across the country.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Manager to oversee and lead our national service-learning program, Youth as Solutions, for teams of middle and high school students and their adult mentor. The Program Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities including monitoring results with a proactive approach and adapting improvements throughout the year to ensure high participant engagement and high quality programming. This position maintains relationships with stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, national and state partners, and funders.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, nonprofit management, and program development, with a demonstrated commitment to promoting youth empowerment and community engagement.

    Responsibilities:

    ? Develop and implement an operational plan for the national programs in alignment with the organization's mission and goals.

    ? Design and deliver high-quality training and professional development opportunities for youth, educators, community partners, and program staff.

    ? Manage a dynamic participant learning community.

    ? Coordinate and oversee the recruitment, selection, and training of program participants.

    ? Manage program budgets, grants, and funding sources to ensure financial sustainability and accountability.

    ? Ensure that outcome and impact goals are met and that data is collected consistently to inform program improvements, reporting requirements, and tell the story of the organizations impact.

    ? Cultivate and maintain partnerships with schools, districts, nonprofit and community organizations, and other stakeholders to support program implementation and expansion.

    ? Lead the program team, providing guidance, support to ensure high quality programming.

    ? Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and events to promote the program and build awareness and support.

    Qualifications:

    ? Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, social work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    ? At least 5 years of experience in K12 education or an education focused nonprofit. Former teachers, Service-Learning Coordinators, Curriculum Directors, and managers of K-12 educational programs preferred.

    ? Strong understanding of service-learning and youth development, as well as experience with curriculum development, training, and facilitation.

    ? Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including budgeting, grant management, and reporting.

    ? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
