    Candidate profileThe Staff Accountant leads the accounting team and supports executives and managers within the company through excellent accounting practices and processes.

    The position will be assigned based on the qualifications of the applicants. This position is onsite.

    Essential DutiesHave functional responsibility for all accounting operationsOversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to:

    accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payrollAssess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvementsPrepare, review, and analyze financial reports monthly to ensure accuracy and completenessPerform ad hoc analysis and projects as requestedWork closely with sales, marketing, operations, IT, product, and design departments to understand changes in the business, and identify opportunities to increase valuePerform monthly balance sheet reconciliationsCash management including daily cash report, bank reconciliations, and short-term projectionsEnsure revenue, cost of sales and general expenses are recorded accuratelyMonitor and analyze manufacturing variances to understand root causes, propose correcting journal entries (when required), and identify areas for improvementExhibit necessary ERP system proficiency for both finance and other facility functionsWork with operations to ensure inventory and related costs are recorded correctly on a monthly basisRegular and consistent attendanceKey RequirementsStrong understanding of inventory management and costsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.

    Experience with other financial systems.3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong attention to details and highly organized; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksDeep understanding of the role of systems in the organization, internal controls, and effective processesStrong working knowledge of GAAP and management accountingCompetenciesCommunication
