- Serve as the quality expert at the Dallas, Texas fulfillment center.
- Supervise all incoming inspections to ensure adherence to client standards.
- Assess diamonds, colored stones, and pearls for accuracy in quality.
- Promptly escalate quality concerns and communicate defects to the Product Development team.
- Conduct ad hoc inspections of inventory as quality issues arise.
- Validate quality inspection submissions from suppliers and review product details for inbound shipments.
- Record internal and external inspection findings and input data into the company database.
- Identify trends in manufacturing defects and collaborate with the Product Development team to propose solutions and enhancements.
- Evaluate, report, and document supplier production and quality issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to address technical obstacles.
- Participate in virtual product quality reviews with cross-functional partners.
- Produce monthly defect analysis reports to pinpoint root causes.
- Actively seek and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and precision.
- Establish quality requirements and inspection standards for all jewelry in collaboration with Product Development.
- A reliable, cooperative, and meticulous self-initiator.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication, adept at delivering information clearly and calmly.
- Welcomes and adeptly navigates through changes with a positive mindset.
- A minimum of 6 years' pertinent experience in quality assurance, jewelry inspection, and repair is essential.
- Proficiency in jewelry manufacturing processes, testing, and supply chain operations is necessary.
- Knowledgeable in diamonds, gemstones, gold, platinum, and silver.
- Strong analytical and root cause analysis abilities are mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Google Suite.
- Demonstrates energy, confidence, and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, with adept project and time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Enthusiastic about embracing new challenges, introducing innovative approaches and ideas, and continually growing and learning.
- Background in e-commerce is beneficial.
- Must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and possess a proactive attitude.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and/or Graduate Gemologist diploma from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
- Full-time position based in the Dallas, Texas vicinity.
- On-site presence required for 5 days a week.
- Office Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, recognizing our startup ethos may entail occasional work beyond these hours.
