    LOCATION:
    3147 Jim Christal Rd, Denton, TX 76207


    PAY:
    Approximately $46k - $52k/year, which includes $16/hour plus monthly bonuses and full benefits. Typically, overtime will also be available.


    SCHEDULE:
    Typically falls within 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays, on a rotating basis. You will work a minimum of 48 hours. However, hours may vary depending on location/store.


    WHAT YOU WILL DO:
    The Production Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position in the management career path.

    The trainee will be responsible for learning plant operations and the production process (including training with tools and machinery, such as but not limited to, nail guns, saws, presses, and forklifts) with the goal of moving up the ladder into a management position.

    No experience is necessary to begin your career at 84 Lumber. We will provide you with training to learn the systems you need to be successful


    Within the first 6-12 months, you can be promoted (based on performance and position availability), which can lead to up to a 40% increase in annual pay.

    Management Trainees are typically promoted to Production Managers within three to four years.

    Production Manager Trainees must complete learning plan and course of study as outlined within the assigned time frame and must be willing to relocate for management position.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Understanding of MVP, MiTek, Shop Net, and basic computer skills
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
    Ability to apply common sense knowledge to manage issues involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    This position requires working in a highly precarious place near moving mechanical parts. This position requires working outdoors and being exposed to wet, humid, hot and/or cold weather conditions. This position is exposed to vibrations, potential risk of electrical shock, airborne particles and chemicals.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    This position involves frequently standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, listening and writing. Periodically lifts up to 80 pounds and stoops, crouches, climbs, crawls, and balances.


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
    This is a full-time position. Hours of work depend on hours of operations. Must be willing to work 48+ hours per week, with overtime pay included.


    Required Education and Experience:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
