Catering Assistant (112) Catering Assistant Ref: Job Information Division: Edwards & Blake Advert Closing Date: 31/03/2022 Contractual Hours:Part-time Salary:8.91 Per hour Contract Type:Permanent Location:Huntingdon, PE29 1TQ Working Environment We are looking for someone to join the friendly catering team at Spring Common Academy in Huntingdon. Duties will include basic food preparation, setting up the lunch counter, serving children and clearing down. This role is subject to a clear DBS check before an offer of employment can be made.The position is term time only and all uniform and training will be provided.

Job Description Your key responsibilities as the Catering Assistant will consist of:

Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times

Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients

Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures

Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used

Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures

Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures

**Working Pattern**: Monday to Friday 10.15am to 2pm, Term time only

Skills and Experience The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Catering Assistant include:

Genuine interest in customer service excellence

A team player

Catering experience desirable but not essential

Benefits As part of your package, we are offering a salary of 8.91 per hour

This role also comes with a workplace pension and 28 days holiday pro-rata (including Bank Holidays). You can also purchase up to 5 additional days annual leave.
