My client is seeking someone to join their Tax Department as a Payroll Tax Auditor. In this role, you won't be client-facing, but instead, you will be working with the team to audit their client payroll tax liabilities for accuracy of tax codes and calculations and helping them oversee the filing of quarterly payroll tax returns for their clients.

Position Details:

• Role: Payroll Tax Auditor
• Location: Ronkonkoma, NY
• Compensation: Up to $85,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit client payroll tax liabilities for accuracy of tax codes and calculations
• Assist with the filing of quarterly payroll tax returns for clients
• Review and prepare responses to government tax inquiries
• Research payroll tax laws to ensure their compliance

Preferred Skills:

• CPA and Accounting Degree Preferred
• Must have significant knowledge of tax codes in regard to payroll and audits
• Must have previously assisted in filing quarterly tax returns.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
