    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
    Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services to support digital transformation initiatives. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.

    WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FREQUENCY:

    • Deploys, manages and optimizes applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Sets up effective alerts and dashboards to monitor the health and performance of cloud applications.
    • Implement infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
    • Define and maintain infrastructure configurations as code to enable repeatable and consistent deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams, to define cloud requirements and implement solutions.
    • Stays updated with the latest GCP features, services, and best practices.
    • Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    (These are considered occasional in nature)

    • Attends and is prepared to participate in department and company meetings.
    • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This is a non-management position

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:

    • Experience in Google Cloud Platform, including a thorough understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine.
    • Proficient with tools like Terraform, specifically for managing GCP resources.
    • Familiarity with Google's Deployment Manager is a plus. Knowledge of version control systems like Git is also essential.
    • Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong capabilities in setting up and managing GCP networking resources, such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure optimized network architectures for performance and security.
    • In-depth knowledge of GCP's security tools and best practices. Experience in implementing secure networks, managing IAM policies, using Cloud Security Command Center, and understanding of compliance requirements relevant to the cloud.
    • Experience with GCP's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) for monitoring, logging, and diagnostics.
    • Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python Experience with Google Cloud SDK and command-line tools for automating GCP tasks is important.

    Desktop and/or laptop computer. Third party applications, printers and telephone.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Visual requirements include:
    ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

    Must be physically able to perform sedentary work:

    occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.


    CONFIDENTIALITY:


    Has access to confidential information including payroll, inventory costs, sales, accounts payable and receivable, pharmacy data, e-mail messages, and all data related to operations.


    FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
    Responsible for company assets including maintenance of software solutions. No authority to make purchases or commitments.

    CONTACTS:


    Frequent contact with office personnel in other departments related to the position as well as occasional contact with users and customers.


    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Tehcnology, or a related field.
    • 5 years in information technology; or related experience.
    • Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or equivalent preferred.
