Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider in Richmond, VA - HCA Healthcare
Description
Qualified Candidates:
Primary role includes first response to the ED for Orthopaedic consultation, history and physical examinations, hospital rounding, floor consultations, admissions and discharges. Additionally, assisting in the operating room, ordering and interpreting radiographic and laboratory data, performing joint aspiration/injection, fracture/dislocation reduction, and applying casts and splints. Crafting suitable treatment plans within state law and established protocols, with strong emphasis on interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of two years' direct patient care experience as an Orthopaedic APP, prefers autonomy while collaborating effectively with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Hospitalists, Emergency Room physicians, APPs, and Nurses, ensuring exceptional care for patients and families. Board certification required, along with Virginia licensure or eligibility.

A 200-bed acute care community hospital with a 24/7 adult and dedicated ER, Bariatric & Metabolic Care Center, Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation Care, Orthopedic & Spine Care, Adult Partial Hospitalization Program at the Behavioral Center, 11 Licensed Operating Rooms offering a full range of surgical services including a minimally invasive program, Cardiovascular Services, Sarah Cannon Cancer Center with Oncology Nurse Navigators, and involvement in National Clinical Trials.
