    Description

    **Description:**

    Manufacturer in Michigan City, IN is searching for 2 CNC Machinist candidates in their Rotor Shop.

    Hours:

    (2) 2nd shift: 3:00pm to 11:45pm- Currently working until 1am (Monday through Friday)

    Pay:

    $24 + $2.50 shift premium

    Job Duties:

    Setting up various CNC machinery (CNC grinders, mills and lathes)

    In-depth blueprint reading

    Completion of offsets and changing tooling

    Ability to maintain tight tolerances (+/ half thou))

    Detailed reading of sampling plans, inspection reports, and documentation of part runs

    Utilization of various gauges, micrometers, optical comparators and other quality instruments

    First article inspections and checks throughout part runs

    Assurance of accuracy and minimization scrapped parts

    **Skills:**

    Cnc, Lathe, Blueprint, Mill, Micrometer

    **Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

    MUST HAVE:

    Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints

    Previous experience with CNC grinders, CNC mills, and CNC lathes

    Experience with micrometers, dial test indicators, and other quality instruments

    Would Be Nice:

    Ability to work within +/-.0005 tolerances

    Ability to program CNC machinery (from scratch or editing programs)

    Job shop experience

    DISQUALIFIER:

    No candidates from Vickers Engineering or Federal Mogul

    No CNC Laser candidates
