Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for the promotion of ADM's Health & Wellness portfolio primarily targeting Supplements and Food and Beverage, as well as Specialized Nutrition customers.
The focus of this position is on maintaining and growing existing accounts, building new business and growing sales, but will also involve participation and cross collaboration with marketing, product development and technical support.
The territory is North America (US, Canada, Mexico). The successful candidate will report to the North America Sales Leader. The position is home-office based, and the successful candidate could be located anywhere in the U.S. but near a major airport, for ease of North American travel. Travel for this position is estimated to be around 30%-40%.Job Responsibilities:
Deliver the revenue and gross margin targets for the region
Upon a thorough analysis of the market needs and challenges, consumer trends and competitor landscape, define a regional commercial strategy including customer segmentation, channel identification and cross-selling opportunities with other ingredients in ADM's Health & Wellness portfolio
Recommend and build the relevant product portfolio for the region in collaboration with R&D
Develop short and medium-term commercial plans to expand the customer pipeline in the Health & Wellness segments, including but not limited to the Supplements, Bars, Beverages, cultured dairy/cultured plant-based segments.
Work together with the customer's R&D team in coordination with ADM's CD&D teams to ensure that the solution is smoothly integrated into the final product matrix.
Align go-to-market activities in the region with the different ADM commercial teams, and coordinate the approach and messaging with ADM's sales leadership and marketing team
Job Requirements:
Prefer candidates who have a BS in biochemistry/microbiology/chemistry or similar degree in human life sciences.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years successful experience in business development/sales or product management in the probiotics industry calling on Health & Wellness focused customers.
Previous leadership experience in market development, introduction and commercialization of new probiotic-based Food & Beverage, as well as Specialized Nutrition products, and project management.
Key performance metrics include:
Revenue, Gross Margin (GM), and Operational Profit (OP).
