Eastridge Workforce Solutions, a leader in workforce management solutions, has partnered with a prominent Home Essentials manufacturing company to recruit for both Entry Level and Senior Tool and Die Makers for their Dennison, TX location. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Making:

• Builds dies from complex blueprints and constructs jigs and fixtures from sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions, including design and build of tooling without existing drawings (85%).
• Plans construction procedures and methods, choosing appropriate materials (10%).
• Accounts for shrinkage during heat treatment of tools and metal flow in dies (5%).

Repair:

• Identifies problems and repairs molds and dies, analyzing and troubleshooting die cast molds and progressive dies (70%).
• Disassembles and reassembles various types of dies and molds for maintenance or repairs (20%).
• Supports production by problem-solving and building tools (5%).
• Instructs Tool Room Apprentices and Jr. Tool Makers (5%).

Education and Experience Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years in Machining/Manufacturing Technologies at a university or college level preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Tool Making, with specific experience in progressive die building and repair.

Technical/Functional Competencies:

• Expertise in reading complex blueprints and correcting design flaws while maintaining design intent.
• Skilled in troubleshooting progressive carbide lamination dies or multi-cavity Die Cast Molds.
• Proficient with tool room equipment and procedures, including drill presses, lathes, milling machines, surface grinding, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with oxygen/acetylene and TIG welding techniques.
• Mathematical proficiency, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to operate CNC and Wire EDM machines is a plus.
