    Position Highlights

The Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology, invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, with an expected joint appointment with the Department of Immunobiology. We are particularly interested in candidates who have clinical and research experience in immunobiology of the skin and its relationship to inflammatory skin disorders. The candidate will contribute to the research and educational activities in both departments, with their primary academic clinical home in Dermatology. We anticipate that the successful candidate will devote 75-80% time to academic/research responsibilities and the remainder to clinical responsibilities. Individuals whose research advances the understanding of roles of signaling pathways in immune responses, carcinogenesis and pigmentation, interactions between immune cells and the cutaneous microenvironment, or anti-inflammatory agents are strongly encouraged to apply.

With fourteen core faculty, and nine residents, the Division of Dermatology is a comprehensive academic clinical division with established community partnerships in a wide variety of areas. Building on an established partnership with Banner Health, the fourth largest non-profit healthcare system in the U.S., the Division is well-positioned to expand its range of clinical services to include inflammatory disorders of the skin. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the leaders of the College and Banner - University Medicine to further the tripartite mission of achieving excellence in clinical care, education, and individual and team-based research to position the department for continued growth through innovation. With seventeen core faculty and over eighty trainees and staff, the Department of Immunobiology is renowned for its programs studying the host: microbe interactions and their impact upon health and diseases, autoimmune diseases and cancer immunity and immunotherapy.
