The Manager, Research User Support plays a critical role in helping faculty, researchers and students translate scientific ambition into real-world impact through Empire AI's shared advanced computing platforms.
<+Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the user support team, including workload coordination, scheduling and performance tracking ,
- Mentor train and guide technical staff to deliver exceptional service to Empire AI users Provide escalation support for complex user issues involving HPC systems AI tools secure enclaves and distributed storage Ensure a responsive solutions-oriented support model across institutions and user communities Serve as the first point of contact for new users supporting account provisioning environment configuration system orientation Help users understand system architecture policies e.g storage quotas job scheduling available software environments Support secure computing onboarding incl training on compliance frameworks protected data workflows Diagnose resolve user-reported issues related to software environments job performance access Monitor consulting queues ticketing systems maintain fast effective support response times Collaborate with systems administrators developers resolve platform-side incidents ensure system uptime Develop maintain in-depth knowledge of Empire AI infrastructure user tools HPC best practices Create maintain user-facing documentation quick-start guides troubleshooting resources Lead technical training sessions workshops tailored different skill levels scientific domains Contribute empire ai community events forums collaboration platforms Promote inclusive access empire ai systems engagement underrepresented communities research Participate pilots infrastructure rollouts tool evaluations assess expand services capabilities Contribute grant development assisting researchers computational resource estimates planning Track usage patterns generate insights enhance experience materials strategy+
