    JOB TITLE:
    ELECTRICAL ENGINEER ii


    JOB LOCATION:

    LAFAYETTE, CO WAGE RANGE*:
    $45-50/hr

    JOB NUMBER:

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
    • 3+ years of hardware design experience
    Advanced academic degrees, internship or research experience may count toward the required experience


    • Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication channels.
    • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of electrical engineering.
    • Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool.
    • Expertise in one or more technical areas: power electronics/power conversion, analog design, sensors design and interface, electromechanical systems, digital design, FPGA design, automated test development, EMI/EMC, PCB design/manufacture, or other relevant area.
    • Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical, or naval.
    • Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC)

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Desired Skill Sets:

    • Design electronics (schematic capture & PCB design) for complex space grade products
    • Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as required.
    • Some of the common tools we use are Altium Design, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynx
    • Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects
    Complete tasks with evolving requirements.


    • Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently.
    • Debug hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Software, and FPGA design teams and other specialized teams to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers
