The Industrial Engineering Analyst is responsible for developing work standards, evaluation of operational costs, validation of capital expenditures and participating in continuous improvement projects to support the engineering and production departments.
Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures
Develops labor standards and estimates
Applies and revises the operation routings for the plant bills of materials
Evaluates workloads for plant operations
Maintains the accuracy of the bill of material usages and routings for the plant's components and finished goods via periodic audits
Performs capacity studies to evaluate the need for replacement or additional equipment or tooling
Performs monthly reviews of selected reports to ensure the accuracy of our standard costs and to understand any changes in the costs
Performs reviews of significant inventory adjustments to provide insight into the root cause of the adjustments
Provides an annual review of production work cell standards and performance
Assists the plant by participating in process and departmental audits
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to work with management and manufacturing personnel to assist with evaluations of the overhead costs associated with manufacturing operations and products
Ability to develop/revise standards, and methods for new/existing processes and products
Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels of the organization concerning work standards
Ability to support Operations & Engineering concerning costing questions or issues
Ability to write reports, business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees
Ability to gather input from production personnel and encourage a culture of teamwork through active listening and team implementation of process improvements
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables and situations
Intermediate
proficiency in a variety of Microsoft Suite applications such as Word and PowerPoint
Expert proficiency in Excel
Ability to work in a highly confidential work environment
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical degree in a related field
Experience or internship in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Prior experience in time, work, and efficiency related studies – training in MTM-1, preferred
Proficiency in ERP systems, Oracle preferred
Travel
Up to 5% may be required
