- Responsible for overseeing operators involved in Granulation, Drying, Blending, Compression, Pellet coating, Tablets coating, and Encapsulation of various drug products.
- Must ensure compliance with department quality, safety, delivery, and productivity targets for Granules branded products, developmental items, generic drugs, and contract customer products.
- Proficiency in cGMPs and good manufacturing practices; must possess excellent communication, teaching, and motivational skills to drive team performance.
- Overseeing hourly operators to ensure compliance with validated parameters and standard operating procedures.
- Developing daily/weekly work schedules, setting priorities, and confirming resource availability.
- Reviewing batch records and supporting documents before submission to Quality.
- Leading investigations for cause, defining corrective actions, writing reports, and ensuring timely closure.
- Initiating change control assignments for continuous process improvement.
- Conducting and overseeing operator training programs on SOPs, cGMP, and safety.
- Participating in safety meetings and accident investigations, implementing corrective actions.
- Reporting production updates and schedule changes to the team and management.
- Driving operational performance improvements and providing constructive feedback to union colleagues.
- Participating in CMO audits or regulatory agency inspections.
- Minimum Education Required: B.A./B.S. Degree in Science, Business, or related field or significant experience.
- Desired: B.A./B.S. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Management, or related area.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Operations, or Quality Department.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Document Management Systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Understanding of current state, federal, and local standards and regulations such as cGMP, OSHA, FDA, and DEA.
