    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Floor Manager with Bagatelle Miami is responsible for leading, educating, motivating and energizing the team to provide a world class vibe dining experience.

    This position supports the General Manager and maintains a strong presence on the floor, appropriate staffing levels, and completes scheduling and employee development.

    This position is also responsible for promoting Bagatelle's French "joie de vivre and epicurean spirit" philosophy.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Day-to-Day Management


    • Manage, lead and mentor staff: provide daily training & development to FOH staff
    • Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels
    • Conduct opening and closing walk thru procedures (means of egress, cleanliness, outdoor aesthetics, all points on checklist)
    • Be present on the floor during service, touching tables and making guest connections
    • Ability to assist with local business outreach, concierge visits
    • Develop risk management and mitigation strategies
    • In absence of the General Manager, represent Bagatelle in investigating and settling grievances
    • Maintain all corporate mandates, procedures, and promote company culture
    • Update and track daily reports
    • Provide details and comments to all venue comps, sales comps, void comps
    • Assist other FOH staff to perform service, set up and cleaning the restaurant, bussing tables, running food, taking food orders, making cocktails, serving guests, assisting host and bar staff when needed
    • Manage any CRM initiatives when dealing with upset or unsatisfied guests, use it as an opportunity to create a new regular
    • Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements
    • Demonstrate a positive example. No consumption of alcoholic beverages while working

    • Record and report daily glitches
    • Assist General Management with weekly payroll submission

    Staffing and Team Development


    • Analyze staffing requirements, develop iteration plans, and assess opportunities for future growth
    • Assist General Manager with appropriate scheduling of staff
    • Interview, screen, and recruit job applicants
    • Coach, mentor and train staff
    • Responsible for Team performance - morale, productivity, energy
    • Manage regular reviews of performance for staff

    Fiscal Responsibility


    • Monitor activities and expenses
    • Keep General Manager informed of sales and key issues
    Requirements


    QUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:


    • Minimum 3 years professional experience
    • Strong management skills
    • Strong influence, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and creative solution skills
    • General business acumen
    • Expert knowledge of all Restaurant computer systems
    • Responsible for creating the best guests experiences with a sense of urgency, taking all appropriate actions to satisfy guests
    • Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in interactions with premium clientele
    • Maintain a polished appearance in keeping with service standards for premium clientele
    • Ability to read, write and speak in English is needed to accomplish the essential duties of this job
    • The ability to quickly integrate into a team and be recognized as a leader
    • The ability to find problem areas, develop solutions and get the job done
    • The ability to delegate effectively with a sense of professionalism
    • The ability to work 8 + hours and late nights

    Working Conditions

    • While performing the duties of this job, the individual in this role is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk
    • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and twist
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
    • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
    • Working conditions can at times involve hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment and the operation of office equipment
