    • New Jersey is a family owned HVAC/R wholesale distributor established in 1987.
    Currently there are eight branch locations in Northern/Central New Jersey and Staten Island.

    We're looking for individuals who love keeping up with the latest technology trends and can apply them to the constantly growing HVAC industry.

    Customers are the reason we exist, and our counter sales people are our front-line for in-branch, customer relations and customer service.

    So, we need someone who is up for the challenge of making sure each customer walks out of Johnstone Supply feeling like they received top of the line service.

    You will succeed in the Counter Sales Specialist role if you:
    Promote a one-stop-shop to our customers. While it's true, we are a HVAC/R wholesale supplier, however, Johnstone Supply is More Than a Supply House.

    More than anything, we are a customer service company and we want our customers to know they have a partner in us.

    Recommend and order products for customers, emphasizing quality and utility.
    Communicate effectively to build strong, long term, trusting relationships with customers.

    Resolve commonly-encountered technical problems; respond to incoming sales calls; make outgoing customer sales or service calls; and addresses customer complaints.

    Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R fundamentals and product lines by knowing the function of most products we carry, and where and how they are used; knowing the vendors we carry and their respective lines.

    Processes customer transactions by researching, entering and printing quotes; processing warranties, balances cash drawers; create credit invoices; process pick/pack orders; and process will-call back-order notifications.

    Ensure desired level of profitability is obtained by consistently following the pricing structure established for the store.


    Required Qualifications:


    Minimum high school diploma or GEDTechnical Diploma in HVAC/R or at least two years of work experience in the HVAC/R field.

    Two years of experience working in a wholesale environment, preferably in the HVAC/R industry.
    Prior front counter experience and experience waiting on customers.
    Must be a customer-oriented individual with the ability and skills to meet, greet and service customers.
    Must also be a team player able to achieve goals and objectives as mandated by the Branch Manager.

    Must be able to comprehend business-related mathematical calculations, run a point of sale terminal, research HVAC/R items and help prepare required sales and customer reports.

    Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and employees and write and read reports and instructions.
