    What you will be doing:
    The Service Field Engineer (SFE) consults with Ford AV clients to help maintain, diagnose, and repair their A/V systems.

    The SFE works with Ford's Customer Care Dispatch team and is responsible for providing quality customer service to diverse clientele, utilizing hand tools and diagnostic equipment, attending to service calls and work orders in a timely manner, and repairing A/V systems and equipment.

    The SFE can expect to visit an average of two to three client sites per day.


    What you will need:
    Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot A/V or technology systems

    Programming experience with Crestron/AMX

    Prior experience

    installing/repairing

    commercial A/V (sound, video, lighting, projection systems)

    Experience processing work orders/Service tickets

    Ability to communicate technical issues and resolution plans clearly both verbally and written

    Associates degree or higher in electronics or related field preferred

    Drug Testing and


    DOT:
    Ford is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and, therefore, all employees are subject to drug testing.

    This is a safety sensitive position; therefore, a DOT certification is also required.

    Physical Requirements:


    The combination of physical and mental requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities, essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role.

    The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet tall, and work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.

    They may also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to surroundings.

    The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

    Additionally, the job may require long hours, night shifts, weekend work, and holiday commitments, including extensive travel for weeks at a time.

    The employee must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner to meet deadlines and effectively communicate to successfully preform all required responsibilities.
