    The Position:

    We are seeking a people-focused Cleaner for our our brand-new, mid-rise affordable community - Polaris at SeaTac. As the Cleaner, you will be responsible for general housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness of the community.
    • Maintain a community culture focused on enhancing our residents' way of life while providing excellent customer service and a supportive home environment.
    • Build a strong rapport with residents of the community.
    • Clean community common areas, amenity spaces, bathrooms, and model units daily; cleaning schedule will be set by the maintenance supervisor.
    • Clean office spaces on a regular schedule that is set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Clean elevator cab, lobby, and door tracks as regularly scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Clean debris from grounds daily in the absence of the Groundskeeper. Debris, which is to be disposed of includes, but is not limited to: trash, cigarette butts, pet waste, leaves along curbing and other unsightly items that will distract from the appearance of the flower beds, sidewalks, grass areas, parking lots, breezeways, and dumpster enclosures.
    • Assist in removing debris from outside public spaces and empty public trash cans.
    • Using the apartment cleaning checklist, clean vacant apartment homes after each move out.
    • If the community has a pool, clean and organize the pool house daily. Tasks include straightening of the chairs on the pool deck, cleaning of the pool house public bathrooms and showers, and vacuuming and dusting of the amenity spaces attached to the pool house building.
    • Remove used towels in the pool area and replace them with freshly laundered towels daily.
    • Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies, inform Maintenance Supervisor of any repairs needed.
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
    • Comply with all Fair Housing laws.

    What We Are Seeking:

    A customer service focused Cleaner who can effectively work with the site team to carry out the daily housekeeping needs of the community while building rapport with residents.
    • Must be a team player who takes a 'we' over 'me' approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
    • Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
    • Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
    • Janitorial experience in hotel or residential management is a plus.
    • Computer skills to include email, Microsoft Office Suite, ability to navigate web-based trainings, and other various computer programs.
    • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as schedule is currently Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.
    • High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
    • Valid driver's license and insured, operable vehicle.
    Compensation and Benefits:

    Physical Requirements:

    • Squat/Kneel: continuous, 3-7 hours/day.

    • Endurance: moderate energy requirements.
    • Manual Dexterity: gross and fine frequent motor movement, either hand 31%-100% of job cycle time.
    Environmental and Safety Factors:
    • Weather: working both indoors and outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions/temperatures, including uneven and slippery surfaces.
    • Noise: occasional exposure to high-volume sounds, hearing protection provided.
    • Moving Objects: potential for significant injury from moving objects.
    • Pace of Work: varies, typically fast-paced.
    • Work with Others: moderate, association is intermittent and necessary.
