    Job Description Job Description Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Energy Company to identify a Data Engineer.

    The Data Engineer role is a technical individual contributor role, focused on supporting data infrastructure to enable data analytics and machine learning.

    This role involves designing and building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and facilitating data accessibility for data scientists and other business operations stakeholders.

    This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data engineer to contribute to the advancement of Clients data science transformation, leveraging expertise in data analytics to drive innovation and optimize operational outcomes.


    MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:
    Must have a master's or bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or related fieldMust have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Data EngineeringMust be proficient in SQL, Python and other data engineering toolsMust be prepared to demonstrate you experience with big data architectures (e.g.

    Spark, Azure, Snowflake)Must have success communicating and collaborating cross functionallyMust have proven ability to work in a team-oriented environmentMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organizationPrevious Oil and Gas operations experience.


    Preferred but not required:
    Exposure to the energy industryFamiliarity with additional programming languages (Hadoop, Julia, R, C++, etc.)

    Exposure to petroleum engineering, machine learning and data science conceptsDetails:
