- Assist litigation attorneys in drafting and responding to complaints, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Support all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
- Assist employment law attorneys with research, drafting, and litigation support.
- Review and analyze relevant documentation, contracts, and evidence.
- Prepare witnesses and assist attorneys with deposition and trial testimony.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, associates, and paralegals to deliver comprehensive legal services.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files, calendars, and deadlines while prioritizing competing assignments.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients across different audiences.
- Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, and case precedents at both the state and federal levels.
- Assist with litigation-related business development and client communication efforts.\
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission in good standing to the California State Bar.
- 2–5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience drafting discovery and law and motion is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with both state and federal court systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, rules of evidence, and court rules.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work through project completion.
- Professional, clear, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated initiative, intelligence, and diligence in work product.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Associate Attorney will support the litigation team and assist in managing litigation matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will have a litigation background with experience in discovery and law and motion practice and will primarily assist with general business and employment law litigation matters. This role includes legal research, drafting, collaboration with senior attorneys, and contributing to exceptional client service and firm growth.
