    Description

    Female client living in the SW Portland area in need of assistance 40 hours a week Monday- Thursday (10 hours a day) starting in January. Client has vascular dementia and lives with daughter. Client is a very pleasant and agreeable person, she does not have any behavioral disturbances with her dementia. Daughter and client are seeking out a kind and compassionate caregiver to provide the best care.

    Care needs include:

    Shower assist

    Companionship/ activities

    Hygiene reminders/ cueing

    -Transportation/ take client on outings

    -Stand by assist with ambulation

    -Light housework/ laundry

    -Meal prep/ cooking (can cook with client as an activity)

    Responsibilities

    Assist the client with activities of daily living
    Provide personal care services including bathing and toileting assistance, transfers, mobility, dressing and grooming
    Perform light housekeeping and do laundry to help maintain comfortable and healthy living conditions
    Provide companionship services to reduce senior isolation
    Provide medication reminders
    Plan, prepare and serve meals
    Complete client's shopping or accompany the client to do so successfully
    Transport client to and from appointments
    Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
