Description
**Summary/Objective**
The Painter operates the wet/powder paint spray system to apply coatings to fabricated metal products as well as operate and maintain the polyurea application system.
**Duties and responsibilities**
Position products for coating by hand or using lift truck
Operate spray guns to paint or coat products according customer and/or internal specifications
Start and stop operation of machines, using trigger, levers, or buttons
Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using paint mixing equipment
Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines
Turn dials, valves, or switches to regulate, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints.
Operate auxiliary machines equipment used in coating or painting processes
Keep the assigned work station swept and cleaned as necessary, keep clutter and trip hazards out of work areas
Use PPE, per training, as required for the specific task being performed
Other jobs and/or duties as directed by fabrication supervisor

Must be able to lift and move 50 lb parts or fixtures.
