    New Tech Global is currently seeking an Export/Inventory Coordinator for a client in Dayton, OH.

    This is a contract to hire position.

    Overview

    • Monitor & approve cycle counts.
    • Perform audits on receiving.
    • Implement processes to improve inventory control.
    • Work with Work Order Specialist on issues that need resolving.
    • Work with departments on Monday reports to resolve issues.
    • Audit order pickers & pullers to make sure they are following procedures.
    • Audit offsite vendors where we have inventory.
    • Monitor cycle count accuracy.
    • Discuss inventory issues with Inventory Manager.
    • Perform walk-throughs on shop floor to look for inventory that's out of place.
    • Oversee consolidation of offsite warehouses to one central warehouse.
    • Resolve overages, shortages & damaged inventory.
    • Assist with resolving shipping errors.
    • Manage corporate SOX inventory controls.
    • Assist Inventory Control Manager and performs any other job duties as assigned. Performs any other job duties as assigned.
    • Be the primary point of contact for all import/export and international related matters in order to ensure the company's compliance with government requirements specific to foreign trade and logistics security.
    • Maintain import/export compliance and procedures program.
    • Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained and filed.
    • Interact with Forwarders/Brokers providing the company's instructions.
    • Proactively develop and conduct internal self-audits to ensure compliance to government regulatory programs.
    • Monitor the development of trade legislation and regulations specific to the US and provide analysis and recommendations based on this development.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
    • Ability to travel as required.
    • PC skills required (including MS Office).
    • Experience with import/export procedures, international freight.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in Manufacturing Environment preferred.
    • HS coding and regulation knowledge considered an asset.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to add; subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio & percent.
    • Knowledge & skill of sound planning & organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of JDE.
    • Knowledge of shop safety as normally acquired through 6 months to 1 year of shop experience.
    • Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules.
    • Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
    • Work well under pressure and daily deadlines.
    • Highly motivated and willing to work flexible work hours to accommodate business needs.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
