    Firmware/Embedded Team Lead Engineer

    Team Lead, Embedded Engineer

    Responsible for guiding our Firmware team to new heights.

    Upholding the impeccable firmware quality that is synonymous with our outstanding products to ensure its continued prominence in the industry.

    Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Product Owner, Product Manager, and Project Manager, to shape and strategize product features in alignment with our visionary product roadmap.

    Responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of firmware tasks, encompassing both ongoing feature enhancements and meticulous bug-fixing endeavors. Anticipate an exciting journey of close collaboration with our in-house engineering and design teams, fostering seamless synergy.

    Forge valuable connections with our product management experts, work in concert with remote engineering teams, and engage with external App teams, contributing to a well-rounded and innovative approach to firmware development.

    Your leadership will be instrumental in propelling our product to even greater heights of excellence.


    Responsibilities:

    Technical Leadership:


    and inspire a dynamic team of firmware engineers, guiding them towards technical excellence in C language coding and firmware development.

    code reviews, mentorship, and coaching to establish and maintain best practices and ensure the highest level of firmware quality.
    your expertise in the field to collaborate with Engineering Management in developing performance plans as necessary for team members.
    potential candidates while partnering with Human Resources throughout the onboarding process.

    Collaborative Problem Solving:


    with internal and external teams, including engineering, design, and app development, to integrate firmware seamlessly into our products and drive innovation forward.

    and resolve software issues in embedded systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

    Firmware Development:


    the firmware development process, aligning it with the product roadmap, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Managers, and Project Managers.

    and implement high-performance software solutions, leveraging your deep understanding of embedded hardware design principles.


    Requirements:
    or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Systems or equivalent.
    5 years of experience managing engineers, ideally in a Scrum, Agile, or similar iterative development environment.
    in C/C++ programming languages with a focus on real-time programming, supplemented by experience with Python.
    understanding of multi-task/multi-threaded Real-Time Operating Systems.
    in defining architectures using UML, with a background in Electronic Engineering being advantageous.
    delivering firmware updates for commercial electronics products and proficiency with version control tools such as Subversion and GitHub.
    with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
    communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    and capable of working autonomously while setting a high standard for the rest of the team.
