Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting functions within the administration department. Responsible for managing accounting staff (including accounts payable coordinator, staff accountant, and billing personnel).
Provide functional responsibility over the following areas:
General ledgerFinancial reportingAccounts payableBilling/accounts receivableRoles and responsibilities:Develop and present timely financial reports to equity shareholdersEstablish, monitor and implement financial policies and principlesManage banking relationshipsWork directly with outside accounting firm on tax planning, year-end tax preparation and other firm related financial businessOversee the year-end close of books and related compliance (e.g. 1099s, property tax returns)Manage utilization of accounting and billing software platformCreate weekly, monthly and ad hoc financial analytics utilized to manage departmental and firm operational and strategic direction.
Experience,Skills & Abilities:
Minimum of 5 years of direct accounting experience in a professional services environment.
Strong administrative, management and leadership skills.
Capable of working with limited direction, providing leadership and guidance to accounting teamProficient with accounting concepts necessary to analyze financial statements and communicate same effectively with equity shareholders and COOExcellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with attorneys, staff, clients and vendors.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and WordLet one of our recruiters assist you in finding and preparing for interviews with our clients.
