- Assist in routine patient care activities such as feeding, bathing and personal care.
- Take and record patients' vital signs.
- Initiate treatments as prescribed by physician or care plan.
- Administer medication as prescribed by a physician.
- Document and report signs indicating a change in the patient's condition or behavior.
- Transcribe physicians' orders from patient charts as directed or required.
- Answer patient calls and offer assistance as necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Supervision is received from designated Nursing Services Personnel.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Special Qualifications: Must have a current unencumbered license to practice nursing in Kentucky. (Indiana license required for assignments in Indiana.
- May be responsible for other LPNs or nursing assistants while working under RN direction.
- Physical Demands: Moderate physical demands-should be able to utilize good body mechanics.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
