    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Implementation Specialist is primarily responsible for training and implementing UMP's clinical and business systems, workflows and processes to providers and staff at UMP partner practices.

    As the liaison, he/she will also coordinate with key stakeholders to seamlessly identify and implement key systems and processes.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Planning and Implementation

    Work closely with Integration Management Office and Clinical Systems to develop and support strategies for the implementation of systems and workflows at UMP partner practices.

    Conduct gap analysis of current processes, outlining the key differences between the current workflows and protocols to the standard model.

    Provide formal and informal training and support to assure long-term proper usage by providers and staff.
    Learn business processes and cultural sensitivities and incorporate those learnings into a thoughtful change strategy and implementation.
    Provide extended onsite support for implementation projects (will require extensive travel).

    Help to develop and communicate relevant and scalable policies, procedures, and best practices that are aligned with the regions model and UMP's corporate business operations.

    Maintain comprehensive knowledge of UMP's clinical and business systems.
    Regularly analyze clinical systems utilization and make recommendations for optimization to appropriate key stakeholders.

    Participate in local, regional, or national user groups or organizations to enhance networking / contacts and obtain best practices for implementation as applicable to job position.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in health care, IT or business related field highly preferred.
    Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with PM/EHR in practice management setting.
    Experience with information systems, clinical software, and other computer applications. Prior experience with Athena preferred.
    Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products.
    Project management experience desired.

    Ability to approach change collaboratively and with sensitivity to the needs of those being impacted.
    Superior leadership, problem solving, team building, and decision making skills.
    Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    Proficient computer software and database skills.
    Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
    Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
    Strong math and analytical skills.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
    Ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
    Ability to stay at identified work site for an extended period.

    Up to two weeks in a row with the ability to travel home for a weekend visit and then return to job site.

    Regularly required to sit 4-7 hours/day and stand 1-3 hours/day.
    Intermittently required to stoop, bend, speak and listen.
