Director of Bands

Simpson University seeks a visionary leader to serve as our Director of Bands. As the lead conductor, you will be responsible for providing energetic and servant leadership over the development and recruitment of newly created band ensembles, including our inaugural marching band.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctoral degree in music or a master's degree with 18 or more graduate units in music. They must also be a wind, brass, or percussion specialist with knowledge of instrumental music arrangement and presentation.

• Provide effective administrative leadership over bands programming for Simpson University.
• Direct all aspects of the university's bands, including recruiting, arranging, program development, performance planning, and fundraising.
