- Perform pharmacotherapeutic dosing services such as pharmacokinetic, hyperalimentation, and anticoagulation
- Review patient charts, analyze prescribed drug therapy, check for interactions, and ensure therapy appropriateness
- Recommend drug therapy adjustments, identify interactions, and suggest discontinuations or alterations
- Utilize clinical laboratory data for drug selection and dosing evaluation

Decentralized and Centralized Pharmacist Activities
- Support a 425-licensed bed hospital with a variety of responsibilities
- Assist the Emergency Department, which sees an average of 180+ visits daily, and collaborate with hospitalist providers for ED admissions
- Engage in activities across different units including the 24-bed Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, and general medicine units
The Clinical Pharmacist embodies the values of NMHC, follows the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy
- Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in Illinois
- Hold an advanced clinical degree and completion of an ASHP-approved residency
- Minimum of two years experience as a clinical pharmacist with knowledge of drug therapy and interactions
- Strong communication skills for interaction with healthcare professionals and the public
