Job Overview
K&M Recruiting has partnered with a growing Vascular Surgery organization to hire a REMOTE Medical Coder with experience in Interventional Radiology or Vascular Surgery.
The role provides an opportunity to join a fast growing, compassion-first company who is advancing care across the country.
Compensation: $21-$24/hour, plus full benefits
Hours: 40hrs/week
Schedule: M-F Daytime hours
Responsibilities
- Review and approve medical dictations for correct CPT and ICD-10 coding. E&M, diagnostic and procedural knowledge for office-based labs specializing in IR and IC.
- Assist with NCD review and coaching of clinic staff as necessary and as requested.
- Assist billing team with denial management as necessary and as requested.
- Assist billing team with submitting corrected claims and/or appeals.
- Analyze, identify and prioritize workflow through a variety of reports.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred
- 3+ years of medical coding experience/knowledge or
- 2+ years of medical coding specializing in Interventional Radiology and/or Interventional Cardiology
- Must have strong written and oral interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with clinic staff and coworkers.
- Proficient with computers; Practice Management/Clearinghouse software and Excel
- Must be able to identify issues and problem-solve.
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet monthly quotas.
- Understand Explanation of Payments/Benefits from all insurance carriers.
