- Performs entry-level para-professional work conducting games, arts and crafts, group activities, and sporting programs, in a day camp or special events program, insuring group adherence to proper disciplinary procedures.
- Ensures the safety of participants.
- Oversees the use of equipment and materials and assists in the care and maintenance of equipment.
- Completes daily paperwork and reports.
- Assists in the Before and After Care recreational programs.
- Assists in light maintenance and the general cleanliness of facilities and recreational areas.
- Performs related work as required.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS: Under routine supervision, performs temporary, entry level paraprofessional, seasonal work in the Parks & Recreation Department at a County recreation facility. Work includes conducting games, special events, arts and crafts and other group activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Training or experience working with children is required. See knowledge, skills and abilities section for requirements of the class.
