    Job Summary:
    The RN provides specialized nursing care to individuals and patient groups using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.

    Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in alignment with the ANA Code of Ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

    Care is culturally sensitive, age-specific, and delivered in partnership with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

    Responsibilities:
    Provide direct nursing care to stepdown/telemetry patients
    Monitor cardiac patients including acute MI, arrhythmias, CHF, cardiomyopathy, and chest pain
    Perform cardiac monitoring and stroke assessments (NIH Stroke Scale)
    Administer infusion therapy, blood transfusions, injections, and central line care
    Manage patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and APAP
    Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
    Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
    Participate in ongoing education and professional development

    Requirements:

    Experience:
    Minimum

    1+ year Stepdown/Telemetry experience

    (Required)
    Cardiac monitoring experience (Required)
    Stroke experience highly preferred
    Leadership experience such as Charge RN or Preceptor (Preferred)

    Licenses & Certifications:
    Active

    Ohio RN License or Compact License

    (Required)
    BLS – AHA

    (Required)
    ACLS – AHA

    (Required)
    NIH Stroke Scale Certification

    (Preferred)

    Education:
    Diploma in Nursing (Required)
    BSN (Preferred)
