    Communications Technician/Project Forman - Building Infrastructure/Data Center

    The Communication technician/Forman is responsible for planning, layout and complete installation of new commercial and retrofit commercial communications equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.


    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Installing, termination, testing, and trouble-shooting Cat3-Cat7 copper cable;
    • Installing, terminating and testing fiber optics;
    • Installing cable tray, ladder rack and grounding and bonding;
    • Professional and prompt responses to customers' requests; effectively resolving customers' concerns and problem
    solving;


    • Reading plans and specifications.
    • Data Center - Rack n Stack/Patching etc...


    Work may include supervising a team of 1-3 technicians, working independently or working under the direct supervision of a Communications technician.

    Full working knowledge of test equipment; the ability to install and work with different types of connectors, terminations and pin configurations; knowledge of color codes; and familiarity with TIA and EIA standards and section 800 of the NEC is a plus.

    Required Skills


    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or the equivalent.
    • Must provide evidence of 1- 5 years experience in the communications industry.
    • BICSI Installer certification (or equivalent training and experience) a plus.
    • Must have your own transportation and a valid driver's license.
    • Must be US citizen.
    • Must pass a substance abuse test and remain free of substance abuse.
