    Operator/Inspector

    I. JOB DESCRIPTION

    Department: Flatware

    Location: Louisville, KY

    Reports to: Department Supervisor

    II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

    Operate machine and inspect end product for quality.

    III. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS

    None

    IV. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

    Must be able to communicate with manager and co-workers.

    V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED

    Direct supervision.

    1. EDUCATION REQUIRED
    Some education with basic reading and math skills.
    • TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
    Requires frequent standing, walking, and stooping. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

    VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Previous production experience.

    IX. TRAVEL REQUIRED

    None
    1. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Responsible for operations of machine to include general maintenance and cleaning.
    • Inspect product as it comes off the line to make sure it has all components.
    • Ensure product has no contaminants.
    1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required depending on the department where the employee is assigned.
