    Description

    Primary Tasks:

    • Serve as the subject matter expert in CT, MRI, and mammography.
    • Oversee quality control of equipment set forth by the regulatory body of the radiology guidelines and requirements.
    • Advise ordering physicians and radiologists to determine appropriateness for the patient.
    • Train and educate imaging staff on modality specific exam policies and procedures.
    • Design educational strategies for medical and non-medical staff.
    • Ensure compliance with modality safety laws, accreditation standards, and accepted standards of practice.
    • Serve in a consulting role regarding radiology policies and procedures.
    • Help radiology leadership with evaluations and competency assessments of technologist within specified modality.
    • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

    Required Education, Skills and Experience:

    MINIMUM

    • Associate degree
    • ARRT certification or;
    • ARDMS certification in specific modality
    • Good communication skills
    • Operating knowledge of technical and safety procedures within respective modality
    • Two [2] years of direct clinical experience in radiology

    TARGET

    • Bachelor's degree
    • ARRT certification
    • ARDMS certification in specific modality
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Advanced knowledge in technical aspects of respective modality
    • Excellent communication skills
    in training and assessing competency of technologist staff.


    • Four [4] years of direct clinical experience in radiology
