    St. Ambrose University, known for its strong emphasis on academic excellence, service-learning, and community engagement is accepting applications for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team in the Center for Instructional Design and Technology (CIDT) as a full-time Instructional Designer/Technology Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in supporting faculty and staff in design, development, and implementation of technology-enhanced experiences across various academic programs.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Working collaboratively with faculty in development of instructional strategies, course materials, and assessment techniques.
    • Assists in adapting courses for online environments
    • Ensures that online and hybrid courses are ADA and copyright compliant.
    • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts
    • Instructional design theory and methods, various instructional methods and delivery options
    • Measurement and evaluation theory and methods, various software tools used in instructional design and training vendors and resources.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, or education.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of technology, including use of the Blackboard learning management system, Adobe and or Apple production suites, educational technology, and the creation of basic instructional tutorials.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
