    SUMMARY OF POSITION

    Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is currently looking for a responsible Director of Finance to Lead our Accounting Team.

    At Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach we offer 426 spacious rooms, a wealth of amenities like breakfast, Wi-Fi, hotel pool, and on-site event space. Our Hotel in Waikiki Beach is located near exciting attractions like The Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace, and many others.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • The ability to produce high quality work in a consistent and reliable manner, in support of Hyatt's standards and processes.
    • The ability to identify priorities, solve problems, produce desired results and be accountable for commitments.
    • The ability to build relationships within and across functions, balance individual and team goals, respect others and value different perspectives.
    • The ability to listen actively and identify appropriate messages and delivery methods to effectively influence others.
    • The ability to initiate action, make decisions, adapt, drive change, use resources efficiently and solve problems quickly, creatively, and practically.
    • The ability to identify needs, shape actions and add value to relationships based on a central focus of customer satisfaction.
    • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
    • A minimum of four years' experience in the accounting field or related job experience is desired.
    • College Degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
    • Must be computer literate with a knowledge of Word and Excel.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
    • Possess a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
    • Independent thinker and a 'quick study'.
    • Good team player.
    • Willingness to go the extra mile.
    • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
    • Must be punctual with regular and reliable attendance.
