Supplier Quality Engineer

About the Job:

Develop and implement the Control Plan for quality controls throughout the vehicle's production process to ensure it meets all technical specifications.
Provide hands-on support to the manufacturing operation, overseeing sub-assembly, vehicle integration, system troubleshooting, end-of-line testing, sensor calibration, and drive testing.
Collaborate with the manufacturing team on-site to ensure proper execution of manufacturing and inspection processes using the correct tools, materials, and methods.
Thoroughly document issues, work across functions to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Approve vehicle repairs and reworks to meet quality standards.
Conduct inspections to verify compliance with specifications and sign-off on completed vehicles before shipment.
Investigate and address product quality issues, promoting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in a Quality role in automotive manufacturing.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant work experience.
Ability to independently address problems with urgency.
Experience with various assembly and manufacturing processes.
Proficient in 7D problem-solving processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience interpreting design drawings and standards for quality control.
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in manufacturing.
Knowledge of supply chain techniques, new product introductions, and technical documentation.
Understanding of product quality metrics and reliability.
Ability to collaborate across functions within the organization.
