    We're looking for someone to join our team as a Optician who:

    The optician works on the front line of vision care.

    The job will generally detail tasks pertaining to glasses such as helping patients select frame and lens, collect eye measurements for glasses order, create lab orders, adjust glasses to ensure a proper fit, repair frames, and maintain frame inventory.

    The position requires an individual who can function independently, respect the confidentiality of our patient's problems, and multitask in fast paced environment.


    Essential Functions:

    • Interpret prescriptions written by optometrist on site.
    • Collect eye measurements including pupillary distance and seg height.
    • Make proper recommendation on frames and lens options for patients according to the prescription.
    • Create work order for contracted lab to ensure proper delivery of glasses.
    • Verify accuracy and quality of lab work when glasses order returns from the lab.
    • Adjust eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit.
    • Repair broken frames.
    • Educate patients on proper lens use.
    • Keep work station, paperwork, and inventory organized.
    • Order optical supplies as needed.

    You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

    • High school graduate required.
    • ABO certification preferred.
    • Current BLS card required.
    • Current CA driver's license and clean driving record required.
    • Bilingual/fluent in Spanish preferred.
    • Excellent communication and organization skills.
    • Previous work experience in related field preferred
    • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings.
    • Self-starter, motivated, willingness to learn, flexible
