- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Instructional Aide Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire
- Must meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associate's degree, OR 60 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Ability to work well with children, parents, and school staff
- Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
- Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
- Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
