    Position Summary

    Maintains a clean and attractive beverage service area while providing premier customer service and well-prepared beverage requests. Responsible for cash bank, balance accuracy and cash handling procedures. Responsible for the operation of the on-course Beverage Cart and for Off-site food & beverage operations. All while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.

    All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.

  • Provides prompt, courteous and competent service to all customers on a day-to-day basis
  • Sets up and maintains cart in good working order. Reports all mechanical problems to supervisor immediately
  • Follows established daily procedures for handling inventory items. Uses forms to check in and out all inventory items during shift
  • Accurately accounts for cash bank reconciliation with sales receipts
  • Complies with all beverage standards and recipes
  • Resolves customer issues
  • Ensures supplies, garnish and liquor pars are consistently available during shift
  • Implements drink specials and promotions as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
  • Opens shift on time with sufficient beverage stock and garnishes necessary for shift
  • Consistently complies with cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance, standards as established by our Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Makes change and issues receipts to customers
  • Counts cash and cash items at the beginning and at the end of the shift, and reconciles those items with the cash balance.
  • Maintains attractive Beverage Cart, Bar and serving areas
  • Maintains a current awareness of beverage trends and technology to recommend innovative ways to expand on the efficiencies of service, and production of product
  • Attends daily communication meetings and training classes as assigned
  • Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works the Eagle's Nest and Banquet functions as needed.
  • Must be able to train staff in all Bartender- Cart procedures.
  • Maintains all service standards as defined by the company and the Bartender- Cart position.
    Accountability and Supervision
  • None Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma and/or General Educational Degree (GED) equivalent, preferred.
  • Two to three years' prior Hotel or Casino beverage experience in high production facility
  • Working knowledge of OSHA; Alcohol awareness programs.
    Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
  • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
  • New Mexico State Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification, required.
  • Must acquire POIGRA Alcohol Server License, required.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of beverage recipe and service presentation for various alcoholic beverages
  • Perform basic math skills quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Working knowledge of wine and special drink recipes
  • Working knowledge inventory, requisition and transfer procedure.
  • Abide by all state, federal and liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages: minors, intoxicated guests, etc.
  • Monitors, observes, and interacts with guests to assure no guest is over served alcoholic beverages.
  • Must have essential experience operating POS (Point of Sale) systems and Cash Handling Skills.
    Physical Demands and Work Environment.
  • Work varied shifts and/or irregular hours (i.e. weekends, holidays, nights); stand for prolongs periods of time.
  • Smoke filled environment
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push, pool, and maneuver in small confided areas.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and place 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to push 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    Working Conditions: Smoke filled environment, exposure to various lights and sounds. Occasionally may deal with angry or hostile individuals. Must be on call at all times.
